1. Salut PUISSANCE ! pouvez vous vous presenter, vous etes seulement deux membres, pourquoi ce choix et pensez vous qu’un jour vous pourriez etre plus ?

Ce choix a été fait en 1993 il y a maintenant 14 ans. Pourquoi voudrions nous changer ? Il n’y a pas besoin de plus de membres.


2. Peux tu definir votre musique? « gothique industriel « est une bonne définition ?

Non, je pense que c’est une définition horrible, il y a rien de gothique dans notre musique. Nous pourrions plutôt appeler ça dark hip hop que gothique.



3. étrange d’appeler votre groupe “ PUISSANCE “ car votre musique est plus dark et ambient, un mot sur ce nom ?


Le nom a été choisi depuis 1993 comme les membres. Quand nous avons débuté, notre son était beaucoup plus militaire et puissant. Au fil des années, il est devenu plus rafiné et subtil. Je pense encore qu’il y a quelque chose de puissant dans la musique. La plus part des nouveaux titres sont massifs dans leurs ambiances.



4. que pensez vous de votre parcours durant ces années ? 1993 /
2007 : un long chemin tranquille?

Un long chemin certainement, mais difficilement tranquille, nous avons enregistré beaucoup d’albums avec Puissance et différents projets parallèles. Je crois qu’au total cela doit faire 40 ou 50 albums. Je crois que nous avons beaucoup évolué mais avons également maintenu une grande partie de l'unicité originale du groupe.



5. comment s’est déroulé l’enregistrement de votre dernier album 'Grace of god' ? en etes vous satisfaits ?

Oui je suis satisfait de l'enregistrement, c'était un processus plutôt indolore et j'ai eu de l'amusement

1. hello PUISSANCE ! can you present you? you are only two members
into the band, why this choice, do you think one day you could to be
more ?

That choice was made in 1993, that´s 14 years ago. Why would it
change? There is no need for more members.



2. can you define the style of your music ? "gothic industrial", is a
good definition ?

No I think it´s a horrible definition, there is nothing gothic about
our music. I would much rather call it dark hiphop than gothic.



3. strange to call your band "PUISSANCE" ( "power" in french ) ,
because your music is more dark and ambient, a world about this name ?

The name has been the same since 1993, just like the members. When we
started out our sound was a lot more militaristic and forceful.
through the years it has become more refined and subtle. I still think
there is a fair amount of power left in the music. Most of the new
tracks are quite massive in their soundscapes.



4. what do you think of your evolution during these years ? 1993 /
2007 : a long quiet way ?

A long way certainly but hardly quiet, we have made quite a lot of
records both with Puissance and other projects alongside it. I belive
its around 40 or 50 albums in total since then. I belive we have
evolved a lot but also retained much of the original uniqueness of the
band.


5. How did the recording occur for this new album 'Grace of god' ?
Are you satisfies by it? Have you got echoes about the album?

Yes I am satisfied with the recording, It was a rather painless
process and I had some fun doing it. We have had only positive
responses to the albums so far, but that´s normal.



6. About this album, what is the concept behind the music , about what
do speak your lyrics?

The concept is about corruption, world banking and thermonuclear
armageddon in the hands of their black op shadow government installed
throughout the western hemisphere. To summarize, it´s a contemporary
album about life in Europe.


7. do you feel you are influenced by politics and religions ?

Politics doesn´t exist, it´s a created phenomenon to take focus from
the real power brokers of the world. Politicians have no power,
religious leaders have very limited power. "Give me control of a
nation's money and I care not who makes its laws." (Meyer Amschel
Rothschild)



8. Which are your projects to come ( after all promos of this record
)? Envisaged live-shows in France or Europe ?

We will not play live, we only do that on very rare occations. I have
several other projects to attend to so I will be busy.



9. which are the bands which you currently like now ?

Puissance and Murderplan and some others that I will talk more about
when they are ready for release.
